The 'Side of the Hill' logo

I thought I’d share the rationale behind my triangle logo so you can see a little of how I work. It might be pretty obvious that it represents a hill but it does go deeper much than that!

The triangle is sectioned up to represent all the different types of clients I can help, and all the different elements and platforms I can design for.

It also illustrates that each client deserves a fully bespoke service as each business is totally different.

The colours represent professionalism (blue) and creativity (orange). The orange section represents the ‘side’ of the hill from which I get my viewpoint. All creativity is underpinned by a solid professional approach and attention to detail.

I could be on the ‘Top of the Hill’ or even a mountain, but this wouldn’t reflect the heritage of my surname. I often get asked why we are called 'Side of the Hill' and I wanted to retain that provenance and people love to hear the reasoning behind the name.

There are technically only two colours in the logo, but when overlayed with each other they deepen and create more colours which suggests that when working with clients we get much deeper results.

It’s designed as an icon with a word mark which means it can be used as a combined logo or the icon can be used on it’s own in reduced spaces, or for a more iconic impact.

If you would like a new logo with deeper meaning, or a re-designed, more flexible logo that would fit in multiple spaces then please drop me a line for a no-obligation chat.
