Kids, do you fancy a day trip to the office? Probably not, but that’s what we need to do! How do you manage working and parenting in the school holidays?
Day 2 of the summer holidays and I’ve already dragged the kids to the office, determined to get them out the house as well as getting some work done!
I know they’re probably thinking ‘some day trip Mum, thanks’ followed by lots of tween eye rolling! But sometimes just you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do. It's good for them to learn that too.
I’m lucky enough that they’re older now so it is easier, and they're pretty well behaved kids, but in the past the holidays used to fill me with a certain kind of dread of how to keep them amused while I got work done without spending a fortune on childcare.
It’s a tricky business and by the end of August I'm sure there are a lot of parents who love their kids to bits but are quite ready for them to go back to school!
